Dimplex fires are 100% efficient at point of use, as all the heat produced goes into the room. The flame effect can be used independently of the heating so you can enjoy the cosiness of the flames without overheating the room.  There is no annual maintenance, and for extra peace of mind all fires are BEAB approved.
